How we prepare guidance
Our routes and practical advice help foreign visitors plan independent travel in China. Suggested itineraries account for travel time and leave room for choices and changes; they are examples, not promises that every stop will work for every traveler.
We link relevant official sources within individual articles so readers can check important details. An article’s update date indicates when its content was meaningfully revised. A source’s publication date describes that source and should not be read as the article’s update date. Rules, schedules, and availability can change, so check the relevant authority or provider before making a time-sensitive decision.
Our entry checker offers limited screening guidance and cannot determine an individual’s eligibility or replace an official decision. The ticket-time calculator estimates when to check for tickets; it does not show live inventory or guarantee availability.
